Chiesi Global Rare Diseases Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available. This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma. Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. What we are looking for We are looking for an experienced Brand Lead to join our Global Rare Diseases, Cluster Mediterranean team on a temporary contract (maternity leave replacement). Reporting to the Vice President, Rare Diseases, Cluster Mediterranean, this leadership role will take responsibility for leading the development of global brand strategy and own the commercial tactical plan for implementation across the EU and International. You are responsible for shaping, implementing and monitoring marketing strategies for the dedicated brand within the AIM portfolio. As Brand Lead, a critical success factor will be to ensure strong collaboration with cross functional teams. This is what you will do Build and execute the most competitive insight-driven brand strategy in partnership with cross-functional partners. Co-lead the Lamzede core team and contribute as appropriate to optimize strategies, create and drive product launches and life cycle management. Lead the development of the global brand strategic plan. Own the EU & International commercial tactical plan for implementation across geographies. Ensure brand strategies and tactical plans are efficiently and effectively cascaded and implemented at affiliate level. Provide support and guidance to affiliates related to the brands assigned (promotional material, trainings, special projects, events). Provide needed commercial perspective on key marketing decisions such as optimal positioning and messaging to differentiate in the marketplace. Translate the science into marketing initiatives which change the lives of patients. Uncover actionable patient journey, scientific and competitive insights, provide input and direction to market research. Develop strong customer, market and therapeutic area knowledge, and expertise. Provide positive leadership and productive influence across the organization. Set the tone and priorities for the brands. Demonstrate strong cross-functional and cross-geographical influence and leadership without authority capability; work effectively with other leaders on the brand team. Build strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance. Raise the bar and never be satisfied with the status quo. Embrace the ideas of others, nurture innovation and manage innovation to reality. Ensure strict compliance of all marketing activities/materials to both company standards (SOPs) and the ABPI Code of Practice. Comply with the Company Code of Ethics. You will need to have University degree in Science and/or degree in Marketing. 5-plus years of progressively responsible marketing and/or other relevant commercial experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team environment. Positive attitude, strong written and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent planning and organization skills to support brand objectives. Strategic mindset. Scientific aptitude. Financial acumen and awareness. We would prefer for you to have Rare disease marketing experience strongly preferred. Prior global or regional experience preferred. Location Preferably located in the HQ in Parma with availability to travel internationally.
