Account Manager – Fashion and Luxury industryFor an important Italian company that created an authentication platform for authentication and consumer engagement in the fashion and luxury industries, we are looking for an Account Manager with strong marketing expertise and analytical skills.Working as part of the Sales and Marketing function, your goal as Account Manager, will be to make sure that the clients assigned to you are satisfied with the service provided to the extent that they would be happy to recommend it to anyone. You will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. The ideal candidate has a marketing background and combines strong technical know-how, particularly with reference to digital, with great commercial and operational skills. The Account Manager we are looking for is a self-motivated, energetic “people person” with the ability to empathize with any stakeholder of our customers’ organization, from the CEO downwards. You will be the primary point of contact for any need and concern expressed by the clients and your aim will be to establish trusting relationships and growing them over time, especially with the Marketing, CRM, PR, Legal and Operations staff.You will be responsible for preparing and presenting quotations, updating contracts, and negotiating commercial conditions. Proven commercial experience and exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are therefore essential prerequisites for the role. You’re also comfortable working with spreadsheets and organizational software, and you have good analytical skills. In collaboration with the Marketing Account Manager, you will design and implement “Client Account Plans” for each customer that will allow you to raise awareness and obtain buy-in from all relevant stakeholders. The ongoing interaction with all levels of the organization will allow you to identify renewal/upselling opportunities and maximize commercial success. You will also support new sales by collaborating with the Sales Director to attract and acquire new clients. This entails highlighting the marketing-related aspects of the company’s value proposition and providing advice to prospects on how to maximize the solution’s adoption, usage and impact.ROLE REQUIREMENTSPrimary Accountabilities:• Act as the primary point of contact for any need and concern expressed by the clients• Anticipate possible client needs and requests and address those proactively• Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships• Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals• Work with sales, marketing and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met• Make sure that all relevant stakeholders of the clients’ organization have a thorough understanding and appreciation of our products and service offerings with the aim to maximise upsell and cross-sell success• Drive the launch and management of cooperative marketing partnerships with clients• Contribute to defining the product development agenda by communicating and interpreting market feedback gained through your relationship with clients On a daily basis, you will:• Receive, qualify and address inquiries and requests from customers by using specific software tools (currently Jira and Confluence of the Atlassian suite)• Make sure that clients are being properly served and that the the services provided are aligned with their objectives, needs and budgets• Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business• Draft progress reports and provide them to all relevant stakeholders• Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and iterate regularly with the sales team to maximize commercial success• Provide assistance to clients with reference to the design and the implementation of high-performing user journeys that meet their requirements as well as company’s KPIs• Report progress and strategy to business stakeholders• Effectively represent the company at designated trade shows and events when needed Experience:• Proven international Account Management success• Experience in selling Marketing services• Demonstrable evidence of retaining and growing accounts through building trusted relationship's with multiple stakeholders, including Senior Directors• Relevant Technical and Operational expertise, preferably in the Fashion and Luxury industries• Track record of planning and executing of Client Account Plans, including managing complex and consultative commercial processes.• Use of CRM and accurate reporting and forecasting tools• Professional experience in a sales or customer service role Qualities and Skills:• Organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously• Ability to manage stress and to show grace under pressure• Good attention to detail• Analytical skills• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Excellent presentation skills• Exceptional proficiency both in Italian and English – this is a must-have, please do not apply if you do not fully meet this requirement Location: Milan, Italy with the possibility of working from home for up to 3 days/weekDepartment: Sales & MarketingReporting to: Head of Sales & Marketing
