In this role you will be responsible for driving up the sortation & line haul infrastructure in the region, which includes identifying new routes.
Key Responsibilities- Review and understand the transportation process from Fulfillment Centres to delivery stations.
- Measure and ensure enough bandwidth in the sortation team to ensure peak‑time delivery management.
- Assist and work alongside Area Managers to review performance appraisals of station supervisors and mentor them for efficient operations.
- Continuously improve throughput and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvement.
- Review and assist on analysis of data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.
- Research and review formal process‑control and process‑improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.

EligibilityYou must be available for the full internship period of three months from December 2026 to February 2027.
LocationsYou could be placed at any site across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, or Queensland. Candidates should be open to relocation; a relocation stipend will be provided outside of the internship stipend.
About the TeamAs an Area Manager Intern you will be based in the heart of the action at a Fulfillment Centre, working with other Area Managers, support staff, and learning everything you need to know about how Amazon Operations works. You will be provided with a mentor and a strong intern support network.
Basic Qualifications- Currently in your penultimate year of study in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Technology, Economics, Industrial Design, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Commerce, or undergraduate/postgraduate graduating in 2027.
- Motivated to learn process improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations and arrive at solutions appropriate to the circumstances.
- Some work experience—through placement years, internships, or university projects.
- Completed online assessment within five business days after invitation (if shortlisted).
