About The Role
We are looking for a SAP SD MM Consultant - Sustainability with a strong background in SAP logistics to support and evolve our SAP Sustainability and Foreign Trade landscape.
Sustainability initiatives such as EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) and ISCC+
Adoption of emerging SAP sustainability technologies (e.g., SAP Green Token)
Integration with external platforms
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced SAP MM and SAP SD Consultant who is willing to expand into sustainability and regulatory domains and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives. Strong SAP MM/SD expertise is the primary requirement. Experience in sustainability initiatives (e.g. EUDR, traceability, SAP Green Token) and/or foreign trade processes is considered an advantage.
Job Purpose
Design and govern end-to-end SAP solutions supporting sustainability and foreign trade processes
Ensure integration between SAP and external regulatory systems while keeping core transactional data in SAP
Act as a hands-on consultant, capable of both designing and delivering solutions
Enable business teams to operate efficient, compliant, and scalable processes
Support the long-term sustainability and foreign trade functions, ensuring alignment with SAP roadmap and clean-core principles
Responsibilities
Lead SAP Sustainability and Foreign Trade solution design and governance
Promote standard SAP solutions and best practices
Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements
Translate business needs into integrated SAP solutions
Review and validate partner proposals, workload, risks, and impacts
Act as domain expert or project controller during delivery
Support maintenance activities and change approval boards
Ensure solution documentation, testing standards, and integration quality
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field
SAP certifications are a plus but not mandatory
Experience (years)
8–12+ years of experience in SAP, with focus on SAP MM and/or SAP SD
Proven experience in end-to-end SAP solution design
Integration with external systems (IDoc/API-based)
Experience in global SAP landscapes and cross-functional processes
Exposure to sustainability or regulatory solutions is a plus (not mandatory)
Technical Skills
Strong functional expertise in SAP MM (mandatory)
Strong functional expertise in SAP SD (mandatory)
Good understanding of SAP integration (IDocs, outputs, APIs)
Good understanding of end-to-end logistics and document flows
Exposure to or interest in SAP Green Token
Sustainability traceability concepts (EUDR, ISCC+, etc.)
External regulatory platforms
Foreign Trade knowledge including:
Import/export flows and Incoterms
Customs documentation and HS classification
Coordination with brokers and logistics partners
Awareness of trade compliance (sanctions, export controls)
Language Skills
Fluent in English (mandatory)
Additional European languages are a plus
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to think end-to-end across systems and processes
Comfortable working across SAP and non-SAP solutions (beyond product boundaries)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Proactive, self-driven, and hands-on
Curious and willing to learn new technologies and domains
