Mandarin Oriental Cristallo is an upcoming luxury alpine resort scheduled to open in Winter 2026. It will feature 83 guestrooms and suites and offer exceptional restaurants, bars, event spaces and a world‑class spa.
Role Summary
Marketing & Communications Manager
– You will develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies to position the resort as a premier luxury alpine destination. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will oversee public relations, brand communications, content development, partnerships, events and CSR initiatives.
Pre‑Opening Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of the resort's pre‑opening Marketing & Communications strategy in collaboration with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Corporate Marketing & Communications.
Develop and execute launch campaigns to build awareness across domestic and international markets.
Create the resort's marketing and PR collateral, including press kits, fact sheets, biographies, presentations and brand messaging.
Establish relationships with key media, luxury travel publications, tourism boards, influencers and strategic partners.
Coordinate pre‑opening media visits, influencer stays, familiarisation trips and launch events.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Revenue, Operations and Corporate teams to ensure a consistent and impactful market launch.
Support the planning and execution of the official opening and other high‑profile promotional events.
Marketing & Communications
Develop and implement integrated Marketing & Communications strategies aligned with the resort's commercial objectives and Mandarin Oriental brand standards.
Oversee the resort's public relations activities, media engagement and external communications.
Produce compelling marketing and PR content, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, presentations and promotional materials.
Ensure consistency in brand positioning, messaging, storytelling and tone of voice across all communication channels.
Collaborate with Digital Marketing to support website content, email marketing, CRM initiatives and social media campaigns.
Monitor campaign performance, media coverage and marketing KPIs, providing regular reporting and strategic recommendations.
Public Relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, tourism authorities and luxury brand partners.
Coordinate media enquiries, interviews, press visits, photography and video productions.
Manage PR agencies and ensure alignment with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Corporate Communications.
Support crisis communication activities when required, ensuring accurate and timely messaging.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Develop and coordinate CSR initiatives aligned with Mandarin Oriental's sustainability commitments and community engagement objectives.
Build partnerships with local organisations, charities and community stakeholders.
Promote CSR initiatives internally and externally to maximise awareness and engagement.
Monitor and report on CSR activities and their overall impact.
Events & Partnerships
Plan and execute marketing events, brand activations, PR initiatives, VIP experiences and community events.
Manage event logistics, budgets, suppliers, guest lists and timelines.
Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure flawless execution.
Evaluate event performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Brand & Stakeholder Management
Ensure all marketing and communications initiatives comply with Mandarin Oriental brand guidelines.
Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, Revenue, Spa, Food & Beverage and Corporate teams.
Develop strategic partnerships that enhance brand visibility and guest engagement.
Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure quality, creativity and cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing & Communications within luxury hospitality, luxury lifestyle brands or premium consumer brands.
Previous pre‑opening experience is highly desirable.
Proven expertise in integrated marketing, public relations, partnerships and brand communications.
Strong knowledge of luxury hospitality marketing trends and guest engagement strategies.
Excellent copywriting, storytelling and presentation skills.
Experience managing media relations, events, influencer collaborations and strategic partnerships.
Strong commercial awareness with analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance and marketing effectiveness.
Excellent project management, organisational and leadership skills.
Creative, proactive and innovative mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Fluency in English and Italian is essential; additional languages are considered an advantage.
Compensation
€55,000 – €60,000 Gross Annual Salary (RAL)
