Thélios S.p.A., a company of the LVMH Group, is looking for a dynamic, motivated young talent with a solid academic background in Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field, to join our NPI (New Product Introduction) Purchasing team for a structured internship. This is a pivotal opportunity to kickstart your career and actively contribute to managing procurement activities for new product development. The intern will play a key support role, working closely with various departments including Research & Development, Engineering, Quality, and Production, within an innovative and fast-paced environment that fosters professional growth.

Job responsibilities

NPI Procurement & Process Optimization:

  • Support and collaborate on procurement activities for new projects, from concept to mass production, identifying and implementing opportunities for streamlined processes and greater efficiency.
  • Assist R&D and Engineering teams in defining specifications for components and materials, always considering cost-effectiveness and process optimization.
  • Contribute to the identification, evaluation, and selection of new suppliers, ensuring alignment with technical, quality, and cost requirements, with a particular emphasis on long‑term efficiency gains.

Cost Analysis & Value Enhancement:

  • Participate in cost analysis for new components and materials, actively seeking and proposing opportunities for cost reduction, process simplification, and overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization.

Process Analysis & Development:

  • Acquire and apply comprehensive knowledge of production and technological processes related to new products to inform strategic purchasing decisions and contribute to process re‑engineering efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting for Improvement:

  • Act as a key interface and support between the Procurement team and other involved departments (R&D, Engineering, Quality, Production) to foster collaborative approaches to process improvement.

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong interest in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, particularly within NPI. Proactive, curious, and with a strong aptitude for identifying and proposing solutions for continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent data analysis and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken (Italian and English).
