We're a product-oriented startup: the platform isn't an accessory to the business, it is the business. We're looking for someone to set its direction — with the solid technical foundation needed to lead the development team, not just describe what they'd like built. What you'll do Product vision and strategy Define the product vision and strategy, turning the evolution of the decentralised energy market into an executable roadmap Decide what we build and, above all, what we don't: priorities, trade-offs, release sequencing Lead discovery, user research and validation, working closely with the Energy division, our partners and real users Own the end-to-end user experience: we serve prosumers, professionals, businesses and public administrations, with very different levels of energy literacy Define product metrics and use them to drive decisions, not to justify them after the fact Drive go-to-market alongside the commercial team: positioning, pricing, evolution of the offering Technical leadership Own architecture and stack decisions together with the development team, with an eye on scalability, reliability and cost Ensure quality, security, data management and regulatory compliance Stay close enough to the technical detail to be useful: reading a spec isn't enough here — you need to be able to challenge a solution Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners Team and organisation Build and grow the product and engineering team: hiring, roles, delivery processes Establish a sustainable way of working: release cadence, technical debt management, the relationship between product and internal stakeholders Report directly to the management team, with ownership of the division's objectives, budget and KPIs Who we're looking for Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Engineering or equivalent At least 5 years of experience in product leadership roles (CPO, Head of Product, Lead PM), ideally in startup or scale-up environments Proven management ability : you've already built, led and grown product and engineering teams Demonstrable product vision : you can start from a user problem and arrive at a defensible roadmap, not just a tidy backlog Solid technical foundations : cloud architecture, modern web development, APIs, data modelling, security. We're not asking you to write code every day — we're asking you to challenge an architectural decision and spot technical debt before it becomes a problem Experience across the full lifecycle of a digital product, from MVP to scale The ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and turn complexity into clear decisions Interest in the energy sector; prior domain experience is a plus, not a requirement Excellent English And above all, plenty of cazzimma ("a determined and resolute attitude or behaviour, interpreted favourably as an expression of strength and personality" – Treccani Encyclopaedia, 2014) What we offer 60k€) A dedicated incentive package , with a variable component tied to product and company growth objectives Full ownership of product and technology, with real autonomy over the decisions A live platform, real users and an ambitious roadmap: plenty to build, little to inherit Hybrid working Offices in Benevento/Avellino/Salerno/Torino/TBD Koala is a Benefit Corporation: we believe the energy transition runs through people, and that the value it creates should stay local. Our mission is to make energy simple, transparent and accessible to everyone #J-18808-Ljbffr
