We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join a high-impact project for a key client based in Italy.

Main tasks (non-exhaustive)
- Manage and maintain Linux and Windows environments, ensuring stability, performance and security
- Monitor and optimize IT infrastructure (systems, storage, logs) to guarantee high availability
- Handle backup and restore operations, ensuring data integrity and reliability
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and 1st/2nd level support across hardware and software issues
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system and infrastructure operations
Mandatory requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in IT (or related field)
- ITIL Certification
- 15+ years of total IT experience
- 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration
- 5+ years of experience with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in Windows system administration
- Experience with scripting (Bash)
- Experience with Liferay is a plus
Additional skills
- Strong knowledge of Ubuntu Linux
- Container management with Docker, Docker Swarm, CI/CD pipelines and GitLab
- Good knowledge of WildFly and monitoring tools
- Experience with data backup/restore tools and practices (database and operating xdwybme systems)
- Knowledge of web servers, virtualisation and TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge of master-slave database concept (PostgreSQL) and Ansible
- Basic scripting for automation
- Basic knowledge of application development environments
- Ability to draft basic conception documents, diagrams and reports
Language & location
- English (B1) mandatory, Italian is a plus
- Ispra, Italy
