We are working with a Private Equity-backed industrial group in Northern Italy to appoint a Director of Group Controlling .
This is a critical role at the heart of the finance function, driving performance visibility, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping scale a multi-entity platform.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO, you will lead group controlling activities across the business, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and the PE sponsor to deliver high-quality insights and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead group-wide controlling, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting and variance analysis
- Develop and enhance KPIs, dashboards, and performance tracking tools
- Support board and investor reporting in a PE environment
- Partner with operational teams to drive profitability and efficiency
- Contribute to M&A analysis, integration, and business planning
- Improve systems, processes, and data quality across the group
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in group controlling within a PE-backed or international industrial environment
- Background in manufacturing / industrial sectors preferred
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven setting
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on approach to data and systems
- Experience with BI tools and ERP environments
- Fluent in Italian and English (German a bonus)

Northern Italy (on-site presence expected)
