Overview

In this role you drive Greif’s PCR strategy by merging polymer science with project leadership and cross‑functional collaboration. You will develop and qualify sustainable polymer solutions for Greif’s plastics and IBC businesses, advancing PCR adoption across operations, quality, and procurement. You’ll lead trials, supplier engagement, and process improvements to deliver high‑performance, compliant, cost‑competitive recycled plastics. This position supports Greif’s sustainability goals and long‑term PCR capabilities, shaping scalable processes and strategic partnerships. Responsibilities

Lead PCR processing strategy development across plastics manufacturing Establish and maintain PCR material qualification processes Develop product roadmaps to increase PCR utilization while ensuring performance and manufacturability Support capital investment projects involving PCR processing and recycling technologies Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Commercial, and Engineering to optimize processes and PCR adoption Develop technical standards, controls, and best practices for PCR implementation Lead manufacturing trials, validation, and scale‑up of new PCR materials and applications Analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement and increased recycled content Requirements

Bachelor in Polymer Engineering Experience in plastics manufacturing, polymer processing, recycling, or packaging industries Strong understanding of polymer materials and recycled resin technologies Demonstrated project management experience with capital projects or process development Ability to communicate with technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders Willingness to travel domestically and internationally Experience with PCR processing, plastics recycling, resin compounding, or circular economy initiatives Knowledge of blow molding, extrusion, industrial packaging, IBC manufacturing, or reconditioning operations Experience working with external manufacturing partners, recyclers, or resin suppliers Familiarity with sustainability reporting and recycled content regulatory requirements Benefits
