EGNOS Standardisation Expert

🛰️ Oltre-CSD is looking for a GNSS / SBAS Standardisation Expert to support the standardisation activities of EGNOS, Europe's satellite-based augmentation system for aviation, in the framework of a major European GNSS programme.

This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based anywhere in the EU.

What you'll do

• Support the definition and evolution of EGNOS / SBAS standards for aviation (Safety-of-Life)
• Contribute to and monitor the work of EUROCAE (WG-62 / WG-105), RTCA SC-159, ICAO NSP, SBAS IWG
• Analyse standardisation needs and maintain the EGNOS standardisation roadmap
• Draft technical inputs, position papers and contributions to working groups
• Ensure alignment between EGNOS service evolution (V3 / DFMC) and international standards
• Liaise with programme stakeholders (service provider, ESA, industry)

What we're looking for

• Degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in GNSS, ideally with EGNOS / SBAS
• Knowledge of aviation standards: ICAO SARPs, EUROCAE ED-259, RTCA DO-229, SBAS integrity concept and Safety-of-Life requirements
• Experience contributing to standardisation working groups (strong asset)
• Fluent English (working language)
• EU eligibility; ability to obtain an EU security clearance is a plus
• Comfortable working autonomously in a distributed, remote team

Nice to have

• Familiarity with EGNOS V3 / DFMC and dual-frequency multi-constellation SBAS
• Exposure to aviation user needs and requirements
