Your mission Hiab is seeking a data-driven, proactive Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on vendor selection and cost-reduction initiatives to meet annual productivity goals. By utilizing global benchmarking and expert negotiation, the specialist will maximize purchasing synergies and leverage company spend.

The candidate will take ownership of sourcing category strategies and uncover new opportunities, executing activities designed to minimize acquisition costs and secure benchmark total cost of ownership. The specialist will oversee comprehensive sourcing operations, ensuring stability of multi-tier supply chains, collaborating on SRM, driving early supplier involvement, and reporting to the Category Manager Hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate, identify, develop and execute sourcing activities across Hiab spend to optimize use of Hiab resources over the E2E product lifecycle addressing strategic commercial sourcing requirements, supplier preferencing, securing early focus on service and end‑of‑life requirements, supplier consolidation and pipeline to secure continuity of supply and emerging business needs

Hiab RFQ preparation, analysis of data, preparation for negotiation and/or negotiation / business award according to delegation of authority

Identify, propose and later implement and track and implement cost saving actions defined to meet the year on year productivity targets for the category

Develop open book costings, budgets and raw material forecasting for the suppliers within scope

Successful cross‑functional participation in New Product Development, Supplier relationship Management (SRM), early supplier involvement and selection with technology development, productivity, total cost reduction make/buy programs, should‑cost modelling, and business process and system implementation

Manage and improve the Hiab‑wide supplier performance using category supplier development resources and QDCI balanced scorecard methodology to monitor and improve performance across key metrics

Support new product development by taking ownership and leading all sourcing deliverables within their own area of responsibility, including fulfillment of technical requirements, quality and delivery assurance deliverables

Lead the QAP process of activities assigned with support of Supplier Development

Promote and secure supplier participation in Cargotec Supply Chain Finance programs

Follow Services Strategy Execution including branding to increase capture rate and spare part revenues

Collaborate in contract negotiation including payment term, quality/warranty/logistics annexes and raw material indices

Development of supplier risk mitigation programs to ensure minimized disruption within category and business line

Provide support to upscale, drive recovery plans and resolve supplier quality/delivery issues using root cause analysis tools & methodology to ensure production requirements are secured

Adherence to and maintenance of all relevant Purchasing processes and systems

What We Are Looking For

At least 3 years of relevant global industrial experience (truck, construction machines, mining, agriculture or automotive); minimum 3 years relevant work experience in sourcing roles in an international and multi‑site company; experience in working with large suppliers with global multi‑site footprint and managing supplier relations and negotiations

Project management, cross‑functional improvement teams and supplier development programs; experience in using ERP systems

Experience in complex steel assemblies / hydraulic systems / electrical & electronics preferred

Degree Level or Equivalent, with relevant engineering and/or industrial experience

English requirement: Fluent

BCC/LCC Sourcing in EMEA and APAC

What We Offer

Contract Type: Permanent - CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria & Integrativo Aziendale di secondo livello

Salary: € 55k – € 65k Gross Annual Salary (RAL), based on experience
