Technical Representative - Wood Coatings - Marche AreaJob Description

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for assisting the Area Sales Managers with calling on prospective customers/target accounts and evaluating and providing technical support to Key, New and Existing account customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer quality and service expectations are met.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and process development.
• Reduce customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
• Support sales, margin, and volume growth targets.
• Share market insights, competitive data, and product updates with sales teams.
• Deliver technical expertise in wood, metal, and plastics coatings.
• Manage product trials, audits, and specifications approval processes.
• Collaborate with laboratories and support continuous product improvement.
• Assist with equipment installation, adjustments, and optimization.
• Train customers on product use, application methods, and technical topics.
• Evaluate complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Support customers in product selection, specifications, and inventory management.
• Prepare samples and technical materials for sales presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of customer technical issues and follow-ups.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the industrial wood coatings market.
• Experience providing technical support to key accounts, including automated lines.
• Laboratory experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of coatings technology and curing processes.
• Hands‑on experience with robotic, autospray, vacuum, and roller coating systems.
• Knowledge of wood substrate coating technologies.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Willingness to travel within the Marche region.
