Your Contribution To Prysmian's Success We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to join our office in Milan. Reporting Directly To The Business Development Manager, You Will Support the identification and development of new business opportunities in the renewable energy segment, with a particular focus on emerging ocean energy markets (tidal, wave, floating solutions). Contribute to market intelligence activities, tracking industry trends, competitors, and new technologies in niche and fast-evolving sectors. Engage with external stakeholders (developers, EPCs, technology providers, institutions) to position Prysmian as a key partner in innovative projects. Support the preparation of commercial proposals, pre-qualifications, and tenders for new and strategic opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, R&D, product management) to adapt existing solutions or develop new offerings tailored to emerging applications. Contribute to business development initiatives in defense and military applications, supporting strategic positioning and opportunity scouting. Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities in both renewable and defense-related markets. Support client meetings, workshops, and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new leads. You Are The Right Fit If You Have/are Fluent in English and another language is a plus. Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or equivalent). Up to 3-4 years of experience as/in a business development role. Basic understanding of energy infrastructure, offshore or industrial projects. Strong communication & interpersonal skills. Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset. What We Offer Type of contract: Permanent Full time. Location: Milan. Applicable Collective Agreement: CCNL Gomma, Plastica, Cavi elettrici e affini. Job Level/Category in line with the applicable collective agreement. Gross annual salary no less than: € 45,000. The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives.
