About The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager based in Firenze, Toscana. This is a rare opportunity to become a founding and important member of a growing, well‑funded company. You'll collaborate with Italy's most premium and regarded restaurants.

As a member of the regional sales team, you will report to the Sales Lead and your role will focus on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across your region in an organised fashion. This means being an area‑level expert including knowing the up‑and‑coming restaurants and which restaurants customers crave most.
  • Support partners in joining Deliveroo, providing the best experience to them.
  • Communicate (physical visits, email, calls, or social media) with restaurants to demonstrate Deliveroo technology.
  • Help restaurant owners/managers overcome any barriers or hesitations.
  • Attend restaurant and food meet‑ups.

Requirements

  • You must be comfortable with targeting new business and have Sales Experience.
  • The job requires confidence or experience dealing with partners/customers, whether it be face‑to‑face, through phone or email.
  • Experience in demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients.
  • You will need to be comfortable with negotiations.
  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.
  • You will need to be tenacious.

Compensation

  • National Collective Agreement (CBA): CCNL Commercio e Terziario
  • Classification Level: Livello 4

The total target compensation (OTE – On‑Target Earnings, ovvero la retribuzione totale prevista al raggiungimento del 100% degli obiettivi) for this role is €35,200 – €44,000 gross per year, of which the base salary range is €17,200 – €26,000. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed above and is determined based on a number of job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

This position is not eligible for consideration for an equity/RSU grant.
