Experteer Overview

In this role you lead the Software Factory capability for GCAP, shaping toolchains, digital thread enablement and secure development environments. You drive end-to-end delivery, interoperability with partner toolsets, and alignment to enterprise standards while ensuring certification readiness such as DO-178C. You partner with DE&D Product Owners and stakeholders to translate needs into a clear capability roadmap and prioritized backlog. You’ll enable scalable software updates across the lifecycle, delivering high quality, auditable environments.

• Own delivery and continuous improvement of Software Factory products and services (toolchains, environments, digital thread)
• Translate business needs into roadmaps, plans, and backlogs for Software Factory capabilities
• Define reference architectures and baselines; ensure integration with other systems and domains
• Manage upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning across the product lifecycle
• Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, ensuring clear ownership and handoffs
• Monitor performance, capacity, risk, and technical debt; drive incident resolution and continual service improvement
• Drive vendor management, technology evaluations, and toolchain standardization
• Support training pipelines and adoption of Software Factory tools and environments

Responsabilità

• Proven software engineering toolchains, DevSecOps, and digital thread enablement (>=10 years)
• Experience in Model Based Software Design
• Aerospace/Defence market segment experience (>=10 years) with knowledge of DO-178C and related certification
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Security clearance or eligibility for defence programme clearance
