Experteer OverviewAs Delivery Manager - Synthetics at GCAP HQ, you own the end-to-end delivery and evolution of the Synthetics Product Line, including Virtual Platform, Synthetic Environment, and Simulation Framework. You drive cross-domain integration, validation, and certification support, working with partners to accelerate enterprise solutions. You’ll shape roadmaps, ensure quality, and enable interoperability across tools and hardware, contributing to digital thread and evidence-based assurance. This role combines engineering leadership with program delivery in a dynamic defense and aerospace context.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and lifecycle management of Synthetics products and services (Virtual Platform, Synthetic Environment, Simulation Framework, etc.)
• Translate business and engineering needs into roadmaps and prioritized backlogs
• Define and enforce processes, data models, and governance for Synthetics
• Ensure on-time delivery within scope, budget, and quality targets
• Manage upgrades, obsolescence, and deployment across toolchains and environments
• Coordinate delivery across internal teams, partners, suppliers, and enabling functions with clear ownership
• Monitor performance, fidelity, risk, and capacity for campaigns and milestones
• Drive continuous improvement, incident resolution, and service reliability
• Foster interoperability across tools and simulator hardware aligned to digital thread principles
• Engage with vendors, system integrators, and cloud/infrastructure providers; support contract and SLA management
• Lead technical change to embed digital thread ways of working and training materials
• Ensure regulatory, safety, quality, and audit traceability from models to certification evidence
• Maintain configuration management and release governance for models, interfaces, and software

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a similar defense or aerospace role (modeling/simulation or synthetic environments)
• Degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
• Service Management certification or experience (e.g., ITIL)
• Project or programme management qualification (e.g., APM, Prince2) or demonstrable delivery experience
• Hands-on knowledge of modeling and simulation, virtual platforms, distributed simulation, HIL/SIL/MIL
• Proven track record delivering M&S solutions in multi-partner environments
• Strong grasp of engineering processes, data governance, and digital thread principles
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
• Ability to manage competing priorities across domains
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with waterfall, agile, or hybrid delivery models
