Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead the digital IC design flow for SOCs within NXP’s Industrial & IoT Edge initiatives, partnering with analog, mixed‑signal, and software teams. You drive innovative architectures and verification strategies to meet performance, power, and area goals, while ensuring high quality through DFT, post‑silicon validation, and process improvements. You’ll mentor engineers and contribute to design methodology in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment that values world‑class, at‑scale MCU/SoC products. This is a chance to shape high‑performance edge solutions at scale and contribute to the AI‑at‑the‑Edge program.

Lead full digital IC design flow for complex SOCs (specification, architectural design, RTL coding, synthesis, STA, formal verification, power analysis)
Contribute to DFT implementation and verification
Collaborate with analog, mixed‑signal, and software teams to define interfaces and optimize system performance
Develop digital architectures and methodologies to meet performance/power/area targets
Perform design verification via simulation, formal verification, and hardware emulation
Participate in post‑silicon validation and debug to ensure product quality
Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement of design processes
Generate detailed design documentation (specifications, test plans, reviews)
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital IC design
Responsabilità
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in digital IC design with a strong project portfolio
Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification
Experience with EDA tools for synthesis, STA (e.g., Design Compiler, Genus, Primetime), formal verification (e.g., Formality), and simulation (e.g., VCS, QuestaSim)
Strong understanding of digital design principles, CDC, power integrity, and low‑power techniques
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) for automation
Familiarity with mixed‑signal integration challenges and verification
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and debugging skills
Strong communication and collaborative teamwork abilities
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and lead technical discussions
