Cloud Solutions Business Development Specialist

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Business Development Specialist to join our team in Italy. This is a hybrid role for someone who combines technical credibility in cloud with strong business development and consultative sales skills. You will help clients identify the right opportunities, shape cloud-led solutions, and work closely with sales, presales, delivery, and partner teams to convert demand into profitable services and solutions revenue.

What you’ll do

  • Identify, qualify and develop cloud-led opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Position Insight’s solutions and services across cloud, modern work, security, infrastructure and AI-related motions.
  • Work with Account Executives, Presales, Architects and Delivery teams to shape the right solution for the customer.
  • Lead discovery conversations, workshops and solution positioning with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Build proposals, support business cases and help move opportunities towards closure.
  • Act as a key bridge between partner-led motions, product opportunities and higher-value services engagements.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft and other strategic partners to unlock growth, co-sell initiatives and market opportunities.
  • Maintain pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy and disciplined opportunity progression.
  • Stay close to market trends, customer priorities and competitive positioning in the cloud space.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in cloud business development, technical sales, presales or solution selling.
  • Strong understanding of Azure and the Microsoft ecosystem; knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Ability to combine commercial drive with solution-oriented thinking.
  • Experience working across the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through proposal support and deal progression.
  • Confidence engaging customers in both business and technical conversations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in professional services, managed services or cloud transformation discussions is highly valued.
  • Italian and English language skills required.

At Insight, we are committed to gender‑neutral pay equity. The established gross salary range for this position is 40.000€ to 53.000€ + bonus+ company car/car allowance (level 2). The final offer will be determined based on objective criteria, including the candidate’s documented skills, qualifications, and professional experience evaluated during the recruitment process.
