GAME DEVELOPER About This Job Name of employer: Extramus Start Date: Always available Duration: 3 to 12 months Commitment: Full-time Language: English Basic knowledge: Required Experience: Not required Compensation: Assisting you in relocation to Italy and finding accommodation. No financial compensation! Important: We can only host students that are currently studying in Europe and EU candidate countries, and the ones that can use the Erasmus trainee-ship program or that have scholarships. Please consider that our internship is unpaid. Job Description Assist in the design and development of game mechanics and features. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java. Collaborate with designers to implement gameplay features and ensure a seamless user experience. Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal game performance across various platforms. Conduct playtesting sessions and gather feedback to improve game quality. Assist in the integration of graphics, animations, and sound effects into the game. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in game development. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and practices. Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java. Familiarity with game development frameworks and engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine. Experience or coursework in computer science, game design, or a related field. Ability to create and implement engaging and interactive gameplay features. Understanding of game physics, AI, and animation principles. Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, or similar. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Passion for game development and creating fun, engaging gaming experiences. Would be a plus: Familiarity with 3 D modeling and animation software such as Blender or Maya. Basic understanding of multiplayer game development and networking. Skills and Experience Gained By The End Of The Internship Hands‑on experience in game design and development using industry‑standard tools and engines.
