DEPUTY HEAD – INSTALLATION & SERVICE
Our Client is an Italian engineering company specialized in advanced industrial water treatment and recycling solutions, primarily serving global cosmetic and pharmaceutical groups. Headquartered near Bergamo, Italy, the company designs and installs high‑performance modular systems that enable significant water reuse and operational efficiency for industrial clients.
The role will report to and work closely with the Head of Installation and Service, helping leading projects on the ground while scaling the company’s global installation and after‑sales service operations.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities- Ensure full domain on site of projects’ installation and commissioning of complex water recycling plants worldwide. Ensure timely delivery, efficient project management and field operations processes to enhance scalability.
- Strengthen operational processes, project management and service organization to support rapid international expansion. Introduce tools for planning, resource allocation and service scheduling.
- Operate with high standards of safety, compliance and quality.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term performance of installed systems, as a key driver for growing the business further.
- Technical diploma; Technical Degree a plus.
- 10‑12+ years of overall experience in installation, commissioning, field service or operations roles within industrial water treatment (preferably with understanding of water treatment technologies – membrane systems, filtration, wastewater treatment – a plus), pre‑assembled industrial equipment, or industrial automation, piping, water systems and welding.
- Proven experience managing international installations and field service teams, with frequent travelling and working on site with clients.
- Project management capabilities (PMO).
- Experience with industrial process plants or complex engineered systems.
- Experience of developing aftermarket/service business models would be a strong plus.
- Strong willingness to travel extensively (80%).
- Energetic, humble, with consistent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, internal teams, and the network of international suppliers.
- High customer orientation: strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting mindset.
- Ability to organise and coordinate people and activities, with stringent deadlines (particularly in the final phase of project delivery).
- Hands‑on and pragmatic approach typical of entrepreneurial, fast‑growing companies.
- Ability to operate effectively in international and multicultural environments.
- Structured and process‑oriented while maintaining flexibility.
- Strong ownership and accountability.
Location: North of Italy, Bergamo area
Languages: Fluency in English is a must; French language nice to have.
