English language assistant, English teacher

Our school, Istituto Comprensivo 21 is looking for English language assistantes for next schol year.

General information

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities The functions and tasks to be performed by the assistant English teacher during the internship period are as follows:

Conversation assistant in English language classes: planning and development of classes with the main teacher, organization of role-playing games, and recreational activities to improve students' communicative competence.
Development of teaching materials with a CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach.

Expected knowledge and competencies after the internship

Knowledge of the Italian education system in general and of the teaching methods of the school, in particular.
Skills in teaching English as a foreign language.
Improvement in skills related to managing group dynamics.
Encouraging group engagement to develop communicative competence.
Development and planning of educational activities to be implemented in the classroom.
Skills in promoting student motivation for learning a foreign language.
Ability to design teaching materials to introduce the students to the culture and country of origin of the trainee teacher, for an intercultural vision of the students.
