will do:

Main duties and responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to meet the high standards of quality, taste, and appearance, following established recipes and plating guidelines. Support consistency and precision during service, helping to maintain the identity and integrity of Tenuta Toscana’s culinary philosophy. Collaborate smoothly with service staff to ensure timely delivery and guest satisfaction. Take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness, readiness, and organisation of the assigned workstation at all times. Work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie, assisting with tasks and learning to complete them accurately and efficiently. Communicate effectively with other kitchen sections and restaurant staff to support smooth operations during service. Assist with preparation tasks to ensure all ingredients and components are ready, organised, and properly set up ahead of each service. Demonstrate calm and professionalism when in the kitchen, even under pressure. Prepare the line for each dish, ensuring all components are ready and organised for efficient service. Receive deliveries and help check the quality and freshness of ingredients, reporting any concerns. Ensure proper use and basic maintenance of kitchen equipment within the assigned area. Help minimise waste and contribute to portion control and cost management initiatives. Follow and uphold strict hygiene and safety protocols according to HACCP and Tenuta Toscana’s internal standards. Apply proper food handling, storage, and labelling procedures. Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant working environment at all times. Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to supervisors. Display a proactive, respectful attitude, contributing positively to the kitchen team environment. Uphold Tenuta Toscana’s values and standards in conduct and culinary practice. Engage actively in training, tastings, and development opportunities to improve skills and progress within the culinary brigade.

Requirements

Culinary education or vocational training, ideally from a hospitality or culinary school. Ideally 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with exposure to luxury or fine dining environments preferred. Genuine interest in Tuscan and Mediterranean cuisine, with a willingness to learn traditional techniques and modern plating. Understanding of kitchen operations, food safety (HACCP), and ingredient handling. Strong team spirit, with the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under supervision. Good organisational skills and attention to detail, especially in preparation and station setup. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in Italian; conversational English is considered an advantage. Clean and professional appearance, in line with the standards of a 5-star environment.

Contractual terms and conditions

Full-time employment under the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Tourism Industry. Gross monthly salary starting from €1,678.57.
