Director of Studies – Florence | Academic & Commercial Role

We are looking for a CELTA/DELTA qualified Director of Studies to lead our school in Florence.
This is a key leadership role combining academic excellence and commercial responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor students’ progress and ensure high academic standards
- Recruit, manage and develop teachers (observations, meetings, training)
- Plan schedules and assign courses effectively
- Teach classes and cover absences when needed
- Conduct placement tests and support enrolment processes
- Contribute actively to student acquisition, conversion and retention
- Collaborate with the front office to build balanced, commercially viable classes
- Manage students and parents, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues
Qualifications
- CELTA or DELTA (or equivalent)
- Proven teaching experience across levels
- Experience in team coordination/management
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
- Commercial mindset and results‑driven approach
- Good knowledge of Office tools
