Director of Studies – Florence | Academic & Commercial Role

We are looking for a CELTA/DELTA qualified Director of Studies to lead our school in Florence.
This is a key leadership role combining academic excellence and commercial responsibility.
Responsibilities
Monitor students’ progress and ensure high academic standards
Recruit, manage and develop teachers (observations, meetings, training)
Plan schedules and assign courses effectively
Teach classes and cover absences when needed
Conduct placement tests and support enrolment processes
Contribute actively to student acquisition, conversion and retention
Collaborate with the front office to build balanced, commercially viable classes
Manage students and parents, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues
Qualifications
CELTA or DELTA (or equivalent)
Proven teaching experience across levels
Experience in team coordination/management
Strong organisational, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
Commercial mindset and results‑driven approach
Good knowledge of Office tools
