Experteer Overview As Event Meeting Manager at Belterra Casino Resort, you drive wedding and social events from prospecting through execution, elevating revenue for the conference center, hotel, and non‑gaming outlets. You work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate client visions into seamless, profitable experiences. You’ll identify new wedding/social opportunities, negotiate terms, and oversee proposals and BEOs to maximize guest satisfaction. This role offers exposure to a dynamic market, industry events, and opportunities to shape our events program and guest experience. Responsibilities Identify and pursue wedding and social event opportunities from inquiry to sales agreement and execution Drive revenue for conference center, hotel, and non‑gaming outlets Develop and book future business within wedding/social segments; lead generation and solicitation Negotiate terms, quotes, and sales agreements to maximize revenue Generate ideas to identify new business opportunities and upsell during planning Source qualified leads via trade shows and third‑party resources Stay informed on competitors’ programs to inform sales strategy Represent Belterra Casino Resort at industry conventions and events; travel as needed Coordinate with department managers to ensure requests are executable within guest service and profitability metrics Create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Group Resumes reflecting client expectations with upsell opportunities Provide timely client and property communication Lead or participate in departmental meetings (BEO, Front Desk, Sales) Verify Method of Payment and conduct post‑event invoicing and prompt payment Maintain professional image and provide creativity to upsell during planning Be aware of sales goals and profitability targets Create guest‑centric experiences that exceed expectations Engage with guests to obtain feedback and drive service recovery Continuously improve service performance Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in event management or related field 1–3 years’ hospitality or events experience Strong understanding of meetings and catered events management Proven guest service history with revenue growth Knowledge of wedding industry and/or hotel/resort hospitality for group sales (preferred) Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per gaming regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Salesforce/Delphi/Group Rev/Sertifi/LMS is a plus Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Must be at least 21 years old #J-18808-Ljbffr
