Overview

In this role you drive a best‑in‑class Global Mobility (GM) Tax function across Europe & SSA, aligning tax work with Baker Hughes’ talent strategy. You lead end‑to‑end tax reporting, forecasting, and compliance while collaborating with our tax services vendor to maximize efficiency and service quality. You will coordinate comprehensive employee tax support for the region and implement forward‑looking tax solutions. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution in a large, complex organization. You will engage leadership and cross‑functional partners to advance the GM program and shape impactful tax outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a best‑in‑class GM Tax function aligned with talent mobilization goals
  • Oversee wing‑to‑wing tax reporting and tax accounting processes, including forecasting, tax provision, compliance, and settlements
  • Collaborate with the tax services vendor to drive innovation, cost efficiency, and service quality
  • Coordinate end‑to‑end employee tax support for the region
  • Stay abreast of market practices and implement leading‑edge tax program solutions
  • Balance strategic and executional demands within a large, complex organization
  • Develop and optimize tax planning strategies; drive regional solutions for operational challenges
  • Communicate with other functions and influence peers to achieve objectives
  • Engage leadership and stakeholders to strengthen the GM brand and drive continuous improvements
  • Execute additional initiatives within the role’s scope
  • Advanced knowledge of expatriate tax and social security programs in Europe & SSA
  • Experience managing a large, multi‑channel international mobilization program
  • Strong communication skills to explain tax topics to non‑tax stakeholders
  • Big‑picture thinking and ability to connect talent mobility to company strategy
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
