Role OverviewAs the Regional Tax Manager – Europe & SSA, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver strategic and operational objectives that align with the talent mobilization strategy. The role focuses on building a best‑in‑class Global Mobility (GM) Tax function, handling wing‑to‑wing tax reporting, tax accounting, forecasting, tax provision, compliance and settlements, and coordinating the end‑to‑end employee tax support experience for the Region.ResponsibilitiesBuild a best‑in‑class GM Tax function.Handle all wing‑to‑wing tax reporting and tax accounting processes, including forecasting, tax provision, compliance and settlements.Work with our tax services vendor to drive innovation, cost efficiencies and the highest level of service.Coordinate the end‑to‑end employee tax support experience for the Region.Stay connected with market practices and help implement leading‑edge solutions for the tax program.Balance strategy and execution while managing practical challenges of operating in a large and complex organization.Develop and optimise tax planning strategies, streamline processes, and drive solutions with regional tax leads for operational challenges.Communicate effectively with other functional areas and influence peers to meet objectives.Invest in and maintain connections with leadership and key stakeholders to strengthen the GM brand.Engage with stakeholders to educate and drive continuous improvements.Execute other initiatives within the scope and purpose of the role.QualificationsExhibit strong leadership skills, executive presence, and ability to navigate complex situations.Have advanced knowledge in expatriate tax and social security programs within Europe & SSA, including experience managing the complexities of a large program with multiple channels of international mobilisations.Exhibit strong communication skills, including ability to articulate tax technical matters to employees and stakeholders with no tax background.Demonstrate big‑picture thinking and ability to make connections on how talent mobility fits into Baker Hughes strategy.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.Effective problem identification and solution skills.BenefitsContemporary work‑life balance policies and wellbeing activities.Comprehensive private medical care options.Safety net of life insurance and disability programs.Tailored financial programs.Additional elected or voluntary benefits.CompensationFor Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 60,800 to 83,600. "The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay".For Poland: The initial pay range for this position will be PLN 260,000 to 357,500.
