As an Supplier Onboarding Intern in the Global Procurement Central Team, you will support the supplier onboarding process. You will help the team act as a central hub, assisting in managing requests for both Direct and Indirect procurement categories. Your mission is to learn and support the team in ensuring that every new partner is integrated into the Group’s ecosystem efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with our global procurement strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding Support: Assist in monitoring and executing the onboarding lifecycle for new suppliers, learning how to ensure adherence to the defined Group process.
- Request Classification: Help receive, validate, and categorize incoming onboarding requests, ensuring all necessary preliminary data is collected from internal stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Support the team in acting as a liaison between various corporate functions, including Finance and Compliance, to help synchronize approvals and documentation.
- Compliance & Due Diligence: Assist in verifying that suppliers meet the Group’s mandatory requirements.
- Data Integrity & Optimization: Ensure high standards of data integrity within the procurement systems and participate in brainstorming opportunities to streamline the onboarding flow.
- SLA & Metrics Tracking: Support the monitoring of the onboarding timeline and help track \"Time-to-Onboard\" metrics.
- Performance Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of regular reports on onboarding lead times and bottleneck analysis for the Global Supplier Onboarding Manager.
- Stakeholder Support: Act as a point of contact for internal business owners and external suppliers regarding onboarding requirements and timelines.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field, and eligible for a curricular internship agreement with the university. Previous internship experience in an administrative or coordination role within a multinational environment is a plus, but not required.
- Language Skills: Full professional fluency in English and Italian. A third language (e.g., Spanish, German) is a strong advantage.
- Category Knowledge: A strong interest in learning about Procurement and Supply Chain, particularly the nuances of Direct and Indirect procurement.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the curiosity and ability to learn how to navigate complex organizational structures and \"bridge\" different departments.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with the Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). An eagerness to learn and use Procurement ERPs (e.g., Synertrade, SAP).
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data management
