Experteer Overview

As Lead Coatings Engineer, you will drive the development and industrialization of innovative coatings for gas turbine applications within the Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team. You’ll define internal coating standards, qualify external suppliers, and resolve non-conformities to ensure robust performance for Energy Transition products. The role blends R&D exploration with scalable production, partnering with universities and laboratories. You’ll influence cross‑functional teams and travel internationally to advance coating technologies with ethical standards at the core.

Responsabilità

  • MSc or PhD in Materials Engineering or Chemistry (or equivalent)
  • Technical expertise in coating processes, especially thermal spray and high-temperature coatings
  • Experience in R&D, university/external lab collaborations, and leading process industrialization
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication
  • Proven leadership and ability to influence and build relationships with teams and customers
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • Self-starter with problem‑solving initiative
  • Understanding of the Energy Industry and commitment to ethical standards
