Mechanical Design Engineer

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Florence for one of our historic clients, a main actor in the European and global Energy and Oil industry.

The ideal candidate will create, draft, and design product layouts and schemes using customer specification and recommendations.

This individual will test products and make adjustments where necessary. Additionally, they will examine broken products and resolve issues for future designs.

Responsibility for the role:

• Support in design and development of Oil & gas Turbo machinery products for NPD program
• Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues, delivering without errors.
• Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
• Manage Customer technical interfaces and related communication.
• Build solid relationship with customers to guarantee a reliable project execution. Coordinate Design Reviews and Project Review processes with the engineering team.
• Ensure On Time Delivery of packages with open mindset.
• Adhere to companies policies and compliance

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Italian and English Fluency
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Previous experience in product development on Turbo machinery products such as Gas turbine, Steam turbine
• Knowledge creation of 3D models, detailed drawings for both stator and Rotor components with product assemblies

Advantages:

• Display a good knowledge of Oil & Gas products: Gas & Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Expander, Reciprocating compressor and related production processes and applications
