As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer Centrifugal Compressor you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on‑site. You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard.

Responsibilities
Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Reciprocating Compressor products at customer sites.
Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.
Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.
Qualifications
Technical Diploma.
Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
Have experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).
Strong knowledge on Centrifugal Compressor installation/maintenance philosophy.
Display an impressive customer service‑orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
Be proficient at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
Be a motivated self‑starter and be able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.
Have excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English.
This role requires extensive travel. Applicants must be willing and able to travel significantly (not less than 80%) without geographical restriction including offshore.
Travel
In this role, you will travel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements. The duration of the work at site and the hours of work at the site will be in line with customer requirements. In between work assignments, you will have free time in line with Baker Hughes working time guidelines and fatigue management provisions.
