Experteer Overview
In this role you will develop new plastic color solutions across Celanese resins, including engineered thermoplastics and elastomers, to meet automotive, consumer and electronics market needs. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate customer requirements into validated products, while advancing color technology, stabilization, and additive concepts. The position emphasizes applying state‑of‑the‑art color science and IP creation to scale lab developments to commercial production. You will work with suppliers and internal partners to drive impactful product innovations aligned with Celanese growth initiatives.

Develop new color‑focused products across resin systems (thermoplastics, elastomers, amorphous resins)
Identify and translate customer technical needs into product specifications
Engage with customers in trials and reviews to ensure alignment and approvals
Collaborate with Program Management, Commercial, Manufacturing and other Technology teams to commercialize products
Acquire knowledge in advanced colorant, additive and equipment technologies
Develop and establish intellectual property
Support process improvements in compounding and stabilization related to color formulations
Responsabilità
Degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Materials Science/Engineering (or related field)
3+ years coloring plastics experience
Knowledge of plastics color chemistry and color theory (spectrophotometry, color difference measurements)
Normal color vision and ability to travel up to 25%
Experience with DoE and statistical techniques
Experience with multiple resins (e.g., acetal, polyester, nylon, polypropylene, elastomers, amorphous resins)
Knowledge of stabilization and additive technologies, UV stabilization, and polymer processing (compounding, injection molding)
Strong cross‑functional collaboration and lab‑to‑commercial project execution
