Process Engineer for Surface Modification Treatments

We are looking for a Process Engineer who will join the Process Engineering Team of EssilorLuxottica, specifically as a Process Expert for Surface Modification Treatments.

Main responsibilities

• Work on Surface Modification Treatments, like Polishing and Barreling, to solve issues and perform process improvements, both for metal and plastic.
• Define and work on technological roadmaps for Surface Modification processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers for new process introduction.
• Actively collaborate to process standardization across the whole organization, globally.
• Identify and execute cost savings initiatives.
• Act as a consultant for Surfaces related topic for all other specialists internally in the team or even externally across the organization.
• Support all the technical streams (Metal, Acetate, Injected frames) for processes improvements and initiatives.

Main requirements

• Educational Background in Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Surface Treatments in manufacturing.
• Experience in Surface Conditioning Treatments processes.
• Base knowledge of Topography and Surface Analysis.
• Deep knowledge of surface conditioning processes like barreling and polishing.
• Base knowledge of Metrology.
• Solid knowledge of MS Office suite.
• English and Italian proficiencies.
