A protagonist in major global strategic programs, it is a technological and industrial partner of Governments, Defense Administrations, Institutions, and businesses.Within the **Leonardo Labs** - **Digital Deep Technologies** group at the **Genoa office**, we are looking for **researchers** in High Performance Computing and Cloud Computing.Specifically, the selected profiles will be responsible for the following activities:* Undertaking innovative research work primarily focused on low TRL; * Developing independent research on computational experimentation and modeling; * Supervising Thesis, Internship, and PhD projects with Universities; * Setting up laboratory equipment and experimental areas, if necessary; * Preparing proposals for external research projects and executing state-funded programs; * Identifying growth needs and opportunities both within and outside the company and studying the various possible applications of their research topic; * Participating in thedevelopment of technological strategy and the implementation of next-generation research programs.**HPC PROFILE****Technical knowledge and skills:*** Experience with Linux environment and Bash language, familiarity with batch systems for job submission (e.G. PBS, Slurm) and use of supercomputing infrastructures* High Performance Computing skills for code development, modernization, and optimization (compilers, profilers, debuggers, cmake, makefiles); * Familiarity with validation methods and performance evaluation of scientific codes, particularly parallel codes (e.G. strong and weak scaling); * Knowledge of mathematical algorithms for serial and parallel programming, algorithmic optimization dependent on hardware properties, mathematical analysis; * Knowledge of programming languages for scientific computing, both compiled (C, C++, Fortran) and interpreted (Python); * Knowledge of parallel programming techniques in different hardware environments (shared memory, distributed memory, GPU acceleration) and related paradigms (MPI, OpenMP, OpenACC, CUDA); * Software engineering: familiarity with GIT, AGILE methodology, and Continuous Integration and Delivery.Nice to have:* Knowledge of simulation software packages (e.G. Matlab/Simulink); * Knowledge of languages for heterogeneous architectures (SYCL); * Experience in Edge Computing paradigms and related methodologies; * Familiarity with application containerization methods (Docker, Singularity, Podman), container building and deployment; * Skills related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools, models, and algorithms; * Software developmentand programming skills in other languages (e.G. C#, Java); * Experience in satellite image analysis and INSAR methodologies.**CLOUD PROFILE****Technical knowledge and skills:*** Knowledge of open source Cloud Computing platforms (e.G. OpenStack) and related creation, management, and implementation of instances; * Familiarity with different application containerization methods (e.G. Docker, Singularity, Podman), container building and deployment; * Experience with Cloud orchestration tools to automate deployment, scaling, and management of containers (e.G. Kubernetes, OpenShift); * Familiarity with Data Lakes technologies for Data Analytics and related Cloud services (e.G. Hadoop, Spark); * Familiarity with GIT, AGILE methodology, and Continuous Integration and Delivery.* Experience in implementing Cloud solutions for hardware at the Edge, especially in the Space sector.Nice to have:* Experience in Cloud Computing paradigms at the Edge, especially in the Space sector; * Knowledge of Federated Learning and Confidential Computing methodologies; * Familiarity with blockchain technologies and cryptography / data protection; * Experience in deploying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence-based services; * Knowledge of programming languages (e.G. Bash, Python) and automation tools (e.G.
