Apx principal project sourcing & procurement

Experteer Overview In this role you drive procurement for equipment supporting a manufacturing site and oversee AP1000 New Plant Projects within the APX Supply Chain. You will lead procurement strategy, negotiate with suppliers, and manage POs through pre-purchase, placement, and execution, working with project management and engineering teams. You will mentor procurement staff and ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements while safeguarding cost, quality, and delivery. This position is based at the Westinghouse Italy facility on a hybrid schedule and offers impact across critical capital projects. Retribuzione / Benefits Negotiate, place and administer purchase orders with suppliers Lead decision-making and strategy implementation for procurement of components and equipment Lead regular supplier relationship management reviews with strategic suppliers and leadership Develop relationships with suppliers and internal partners to maintain sources of supply Identify cost improvements of purchased materials and services Obtain training to ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements and personal growth Coordinate, maintain and expedite material deliveries to meet manufacturing schedules Interface between project teams (project management, engineering) and the supply chain organization Maintain a comprehensive commodity strategy to improve Total Cost of Ownership and manage risks and opportunities Prepare and deliver materials for leadership and supplier reviews, risk mitigation plans, assessments, and gap analyses Responsabilità Bachelor's degree and substantial supply chain experience 10+ years in project procurement, preferably in complex engineering, procurement, and construction environments At least 5 years in a leadership role In-depth understanding of APX Supply Chain Products, manufacturing, financial, and economic aspects Ability to travel up to 15% within EMEA Fluent in Italian; C1 English proficiency Requisiti fondamentali #J-18808-Ljbffr
