About the Role As an

AP1000 Senior Supplier Performance Engineer , you will lead manufacturing readiness and supplier capability assessments for critical mechanical components supporting one of the world's most advanced nuclear reactor designs. You will ensure manufacturing feasibility, mitigate production risks, and drive supplier performance across complex, highly regulated environments. Your role will involve close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, and supplier quality teams, along with on‑site supplier engagement to drive manufacturing readiness, resolve issues, and ensure supplier performance.

Supplier Performance Manager

and be located in

Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy . This is an

on‑site role

with expected residency at a supplier location in Chieti and occasional travel within Italy and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Lead supplier oversight activities, including on‑site and remote monitoring, to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.

Develop and execute Supplier Oversight Plans to manage document submissions, manufacturing processes, inspections, tests, and surveillance activities.

Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Supply Chain, Design Engineering, Supplier Quality) to drive supplier performance and resolve issues efficiently.

Perform supplier capability assessments to evaluate manufacturing processes, risk, capacity, and compliance with industry codes and standards.

Drive supplier development and qualification initiatives, including gap identification, process improvements, and corrective action implementation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.

5+ years experience in heavy fabrication environments including welding and machining of large mechanical components, with basic understanding of mechanical principles.

Experience manufacturing large steel components (e.g., pressure vessels) within regulated industries such as nuclear or aerospace.

Experience leading supplier engagements, supplier development programs (e.g., PPAP or New Product Introduction), and project management activities.

Technical familiarity with nondestructive testing methods (PT, UT, MT, RT).

Fluency in both Italian and English (written and spoken).

Willingness to work on site at a supplier location in Chieti, with occasional travel within Italy and Europe.
