The role will sit within the Global BD&L Pharma department and reports to the Global BD&L Pharma Director - Europe and Strategic Corporate Transactions. In this context, the position contributes to the strategic development and business expansion of the European affiliates in alignment with the Group's global priorities. It operates in close collaboration with regional and corporate teams, ensuring strong alignment between local needs and international strategic directions. The role is embedded in a cross-functional environment, supporting decision-making processes and both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business
- Drive scouting and high level assessment of opportunities for organic and inorganic development of cluster countries in the Europe Region. Generate new business opportunities through market analysis, competitive intelligence and network.
- Coordinate and define business cases in strict cooperation with key regional and local functions.
- In close coordination with the Global/Corporate BD&L team Europe (Corporate Managers/Leads) and partnering with relevant global and regional functions (incl. Medical, Marketing and Regulatory, Legal, Finance) drive the relevant evaluation process, support/drive the negotiation phases as well as the internal process flows, including reporting and approvals.
- In cooperation with the relevant local and regional leadership, establish mechanisms to feed a BD&L "wish lists" / agenda per Country and Affiliates for a rolling 5 years period, ensuring full alignment with the relevant Country Manager and the Regional Head. Participate in developing a long and short-term strategy of the company in line with market trends and internal goals.
- Ensure a detailed and efficient communication flow with the local affiliates on the status of the various projects and try and expand and support efficient and effective deal generation and structuring across local and region affiliates.

- To be a driver of creativity, performance-orientation and constant evolution via participation as a member of Regional Western European Leadership team.
- To influence, with and without power, shared sense of purpose and participation in deal making initiatives from country GMs to regional and corporate marketing, medical and regulatory functions.
- To build entrepreneurial and sustainable cross functional teams via soft and hard skills-enhancing coaching, and both individual and collective ownership for business goals.

- 5YP business growth in focus areas via strategic deal origination and closing.
- Immediate top-line and bottom-line growth within 2 years via appropriate deals.
- Enhance overall value proposition of portfolio offerings by licensing or acquisitions of scientifically driven assets.
- Menarini as the "go-to" partner of choice across big and small sized companies with relevant business models and located across the region. Track trends and form approaches to be ahead of competition.
- Build efficiencies in the deal process across the region as per evolving market needs and competition while maintaining overall discipline
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Scientific or Business field. Other degrees coupled with significant experience will be also duly considered;
- Strong track record of business assessments;
- Experience in building and sustaining high performance, professional and entrepreneurial teams.
Professional Competencies:
- Creative mindset to identify opportunities and solutions to deal challenges.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical functions (Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, Medical, Tech Ops), local and regional requirements and interplay for effective deal making.
- Personable nature with passion for networking and relationship enhancement. Communicate with authenticity, differentiation and likeability to build trust.
- Comfortable with technology incl. MS Office, social media, interactive platforms, database.

- Scope of responsibility to entail involvement in multiple deals at the same time and deal process driven timelines.
