Head of Biology

We operate over 25 state‑of‑the‑art facilities across the US, Canada, Italy, and China, providing a comprehensive portfolio of services including Drug Discovery, Drug Development, Bioanalytical Services, Pharmaceutical Product Development, and Laboratory services.

Oversee scientific operations and lead the Biologics Bioassay team within the Bioanalytical Laboratory. Responsibilities include technical expertise in ligand‑binding assays, personnel and operations management, client relationship maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

• Lead the team in the development, validation, and execution of ligand‑binding assays (PK, immunogenicity, biomarker) in a regulated environment.
• Plan laboratory activities and supervise the team to ensure efficient lab operations and rapid turnaround.
• Ensure GLP/GCLP compliance as appropriate.
• Act as Study Director, Principal Investigator, or Responsible Scientist, ensuring study compliance with scientific, administrative, and regulatory requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and train the staff.
• Promote team communication and accountability.
• Support business development with scientific insights and contribute to preparing business proposals.
• Build and maintain enduring relationships with clients.
• Contribute to establishing procedures and writing SOPs.
• Participate in facility audits.
• Contribute to the validation and periodic review of computerized systems as process owner, producing related documentation.
• Represent the company in client meetings, scientific forums, and industry technical groups.
• Stay up to date with scientific developments and explore new technologies to support business growth.

• PhD or MS focused on biology, analytical chemistry, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in CRO or pharmaceutical industry.
• 3–5 years of experience managing a scientific team.
• Proven expertise in method development and validation of PK, immunogenicity, and biomarker assays.
• Experience in regulated preclinical and clinical bioanalysis.
• Familiarity with multiple platforms (e.g., ELISA, MSD, Simoa, Lumipulse) and beyond.
