This role offers the opportunity to influence engineering standards, mentor and develop a talented team, and play a key role in the continued growth of an ambitious organisation at the forefront of the European space industry.
You'll be responsible for:
- Defining the technical roadmap and architecture for onboard electronic systems, including power, data handling, control and payload electronics.
- Leading, mentoring and developing a multidisciplinary electronics engineering team.
- Managing engineering resources and priorities across multiple programmes to ensure successful project delivery.
- Overseeing the design, verification and qualification of space‑grade electronic hardware.
- Driving technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the Electronics Unit.
- Managing supplier relationships and providing technical oversight of externally developed electronic equipment.
- Working closely with Systems Engineering to ensure robust requirements management and subsystem integration.
- Supporting AIT, including functional testing, environmental qualification and anomaly resolution.
- Contributing technical expertise to bids and proposals through cost estimates, development planning and risk assessments.
- Maintaining high standards of documentation, configuration management and engineering quality.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced engineering leader who combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative leadership style.
You’ll ideally have:
- A Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (PhD advantageous).
- Extensive experience developing complex electronic hardware within the space sector or another highly regulated, safety‑critical industry such as aerospace, defence or automotive.
- Demonstrable experience leading technical teams or engineering departments.
- Strong knowledge of electronic hardware development, verification and qualification processes.
- Experience working with suppliers and managing technical interfaces across complex engineering programmes.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Why This Role?
This is more than a management position – it's an opportunity to influence the future direction of a growing space organisation.
You’ll join a company working on exciting and technically challenging programmes, collaborating with some of the industry's brightest engineers while helping develop technologies that will support future space exploration and commercial missions.
If you're looking for a leadership role where your technical expertise will genuinely shape the next generation of space systems, we'd love to hear from you.
