Hardware Engineer – Maritime Sector (Naval & Luxury Yachts)

Locations: Drachten, Krimpen aan den IJssel, Nijmegen, Oss (Netherlands)

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join highly complex technological projects within the maritime sector, focusing on electrical and electronic systems onboard luxury yachts and naval vessels.

In this role, you will play a key part in the development, installation, and optimisation of critical systems that ensure the safe and efficient operation of modern vessels.

Key responsibilities

- Participate in the design and development of maritime electrical and mechanical systems - Supervise and support the installation of onboard systems - Test, commission, and optimise systems in collaboration with the technical team - Ensure all systems operate according to design specifications and continuous improvement standards - Collaborate closely with engineering teams, technicians, and project management

Candidate profile

- Higher education degree (HBO level) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field - Relevant experience with electrical systems onboard ships or maritime vessels - Practical, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving skills - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team - Motivation to work in dynamic and technically challenging project environments
