NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE Group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Junior Civil Structural Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of cutting‑edge technologies aimed at advancing the energy transition agenda.
The candidate will become part of the NX Engineering District of Catania, having the opportunity to work on innovative and novel technologies to fully enable the energy transition.
Assigned to a project, he/she is in charge of producing documents and deliverables assigned to him/her by the Civil Project Leader, guaranteeing the quality, the assigned budget and time. The Engineer reports to the Civil Project Leader, or a Specialist for the peculiarities of the project and to the Group Leader or Head of Department for man‑hours assignment and quality of the deliverables. According to the expertise and experience he/she is appointed to tasks with different technical complexity and requiring different levels of skill; he/she may coordinate other engineers and/or draftsmen.
Key activities and responsibilities:- To guarantee the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with the contractual and company standards, procedures and work instructions;
- To conduct technical training as per department needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Tecnimont Group for new Design techniques;
- To keep himself up to date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline;
- To issue design calculations reports and specifications, to check/prepare drawings and documents relevant to steelworks, r.c. structures and Underground Services, on the basis given by the Group Leader, in agreement with the Civil Project Leader.
- University Degree in Civil Engineering
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite
- Willing To Travel
