Your Purpose
We are excited to be hiring for a Junior Marine Superintendent to support fleet‑wide marine asset management, including lifecycle, planning, tracking, and optimisation, ensuring accurate asset data, effective maintenance planning, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company’s operational and financial objectives.
Your Impact- Maintains accurate records of all marine assets, including specifications, operational manuals, certificates, performance history, and lifecycle status.
- Keeps the asset database updated and aligned with shipboard records, including new‑build preparation.
- Supports lifecycle planning for critical equipment across the fleet.
- Monitors asset condition reports, maintenance history, and performance indicators to support the Superintendent.
- Assists the Superintendent in forecasting equipment replacements, refurbishments, and upgrades.
- Coordinates planned maintenance schedules with Marine Operations and onboard teams.
- Analyzes maintenance requests and ensures correct asset categorisation and prioritisation.
- Identifies opportunities to improve asset reliability, reduce downtime, and optimise operating costs.
- Ensures compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, ISPS, and classification society requirements.
- Tracks inspection, survey, testing, and regulatory renewal deadlines.
- Assists with documentation for audits, port state inspections, and class surveys.
- Supports budget planning for maintenance, procurement, and replacement programmes.
- Assists with cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial reporting for marine assets.
- Contributes to cost‑benefit analyses for equipment upgrades or new acquisitions.
- Prepares asset status reports, lifecycle forecasts, performance dashboards; analyzes trends and recommends improvements.
- Develops and updates training materials for onboard personnel on PMS use and asset management best practices.
- Experience in cruise ship or passenger vessel operations.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001).
- Familiarity with reliability‑centred maintenance or asset lifecycle methodologies.
- Experience in data analysis or digital asset management.
- Ability to interpret technical and asset performance data.
- Familiarity with INFOSHIP.
- Experience supporting fleet‑wide standardisation or digital transformation initiatives.
- Right to work in Italy.
- Strong command of English, including marine technical terminology.
- Experience with asset management or technical documentation in a maritime or offshore environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational and data‑management skills.
- Proficiency with asset management systems.
- Understanding of maritime regulations and technical standards.
- Ability to interpret technical and asset performance data.
