Role Title: Legal Assistant | Utility-Scale Solar, Wind & BESS Location: Rome, Italy (Hybrid Working) We're currently partnered with a rapidly scaling Italian IPP, backed by a leading global infrastructure fund with over $40bn AUM. With €1bn of committed equity and a clear ambition to become a leading public utility player, the business is entering a major growth phase. They've already delivered 100 MW in 2025, including their first plant connection in January, and are targeting 250 MW in 2026, supported by a pipeline of over 400 projects. It's a fantastic time to join, early enough to make a real impact, but with the financial backing, project volume, and structure to offer long term career progression. The strength of the fund also enables highly competitive packages, including bonuses of up to 50%. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel / Legal Intern to join our legal team. Reporting to the Legal Manager / Head of Legal Affairs, you will collaborate closely with business functions including Development, Engineering, and Asset Management, as well as corporate support teams. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience in the energy and infrastructure sector and contribute to complex projects from early stages. Key Responsibilities:
Support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including: NDAs, Mo Us, and term sheets Development agreements EPC and O& M contracts Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) Consultancy and construction agreements Assist in M& A transactions and project financing activities, including data room management, due diligence, and closing support Support corporate governance and corporate secretarial tasks, such as preparation of board minutes, drafting powers of attorney, and maintaining corporate documentation Contribute to compliance activities, including: Implementation and monitoring of organizational models (e.g., Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001) Data protection and privacy matters Internal policies and procedures Monitor energy and environmental regulatory developments and provide guidance to internal stakeholders Assist in managing disputes and pre-litigation matters, liaising with external counsels as needed Support contract management processes, including document filing and tracking of contractual obligations Skills & Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Law 2–4 years of relevant professional experience (law firm and/or in-house legal department) Strong interest in the energy and infrastructure sector Solid knowledge of civil and commercial law Excellent command of English (written and spoken) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to energy or administrative law (academic or professional) Basic knowledge of project finance Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure projects What We Offer:
