Role
The Logistics Specialist - Global Supply Chain (GSC) reports to Logistics Compliance Manager and supports day-to-day logistics operations through data analysis, cost monitoring and logistics scenario simulation in order to provide the best service level in the market at the minimum cost. The role contributes to delivering optimal service levels to the market while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and quality requirements and minimizing total logistics costs.
Key activities and responsibilities
- Monitor Logistics costs (>20M€/yy) and grant compliance vs service required.
- Support Logistics Department activities by identifying and evaluating the most effective solutions in terms of processes, transportation modes, and logistics suppliers.
- Support with the annual transportation tenders, requiring a strong knowledge of the transport and distribution industry to evaluate proposals, negotiate with carriers, and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency.
- Manage deviations and change control processes within logistics operations, ensuring timely investigation, proper documentation, impact assessment, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in compliance with internal procedures.
- Contribute to the maintenance, update, and continuous improvement of logistics procedures, ensuring alignment with current operational practices.
- Support logistics-related projects, including SAP integration and process optimization.
- Support with the development of business rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline logistics operations in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Compliance, etc.).
- Monitor logistics key performance indicators (KPIs) and support the implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance with corporate quality standards, including GMP and GDP requirements.
Your Profile
- Up to 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or business operations, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with systems like SAP, TrackWise, TMS, etc. and a background in Management Engineering or Business Administration are preferred.
- Fluency in English and Italian is required (both written and spoken).
