About The Role

The Marketing Engineer role is a senior individual contributor who leads innovation for our SEO, AEO, and CRO strategies. In this role, you will use AI native tools to turn experimental ideas into automated, execution‑ready workflows that deliver consistent, scalable results for our clients.

Sitting at the intersection of marketing strategy and technical execution, you will design complex systems such as autonomous agents and wrap them in user‑friendly interfaces. You will leverage GitHub for version control and integrate with Google Cloud services and APIs, collaborating closely with strategists, specialists and the technical team to replace manual tasks with automated efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the Development Roadmap: Own the technical product roadmap, prioritise team and client ideas based on commercial ROI, and drive advanced marketing automation projects by designing backend data pipelines and multi‑node agent frameworks.
  • Deploy Automated Workflows: Use AI native tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Google AI Studio to turn experimental ideas into stable, automated workflows, manage version control in GitHub, and connect solutions directly via Google Cloud integrations and APIs.
  • Track Shifts & Updates: Monitor industry news and updates to Google search algorithms and LLM behaviours to quickly adapt internal processes and keep our strategies ahead of the curve.
  • Drive Commercial Impact: Act as the senior technical lead on key accounts, participate in sales calls and client presentations, mentor mid‑level specialists, and demonstrate how automated workflows eliminate manual work and add real value.

What We Are Looking For

  • AI‑Assisted Development & Tooling: Proficient in leveraging AI native development environments and agents, including Google AI Studio, Cursor, Claude Code, and MCPs, plus industry platforms such as Profound, Peec, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Cloud, Data & API Integration: Experienced with web APIs (especially Google APIs and SERP scraping providers), GitHub collaboration, and secure deployment using Google Cloud integrations.
  • Systems Architecture & Autonomous Delivery: Deep experience designing, testing, and maintaining stable, automated systems and data workflows that run seamlessly with minimal supervision.
  • Commercial Awareness & Prioritisation: Strong business mindset with the ability to prioritise operational efficiency and clear business value over experimental novelty.
  • Technical Communication: Skilled in translating complex processes or algorithmic shifts into plain, high‑impact actions for internal stakeholders and clients.
