For more information, please visit about.springernature.com and follow @SpringerNatureAbout the RoleWe are excited to offer an opportunity to join our dynamic Springer Journals publishing team as an Associate Publisher within the Biomedicine group, working on a portfolio of respected endocrinology and metabolism journals.In this role, you will manage and develop a defined portfolio of journals, working closely with Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Board Members, and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in driving journal growth through strategic development, data-driven decision-making, and strong stakeholder engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about scientific publishing to gain exposure to all aspects of the journals business while contributing to impactful biomedical research.Role ResponsibilitiesPortfolio management: Manage and develop a portfolio of endocrinology and metabolism journals in line with business strategyStakeholder engagement: Act as the main point of contact for Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Board Members, and society partners, building strong and lasting relationshipsJournal development: Identify and implement strategies to increase submissions, visibility, reputation, and citationsCross-functional collaboration: Work closely with editorial, production, marketing, and operational teams to support journal successEditorial support: Organise Editorial Board meetings, respond to queries, and support editors with publishing mattersPerformance monitoring: Track journal performance, peer review data, and open access development to optimise workflows and growthContent promotion: Support marketing activities such as blogs, press releases, and social mediaPublishing operations: Ensure accurate data management, monitor workflows, and support ethical publishing in line with COPE guidelinesRepresentation: Attend conferences and represent Springer Nature externally when requiredExperience, Skills & QualificationsEssentialBachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific disciplineUnderstanding of publishing business models (subscription, hybrid, open access)Knowledge of the academic publishing processStrong communication and influencing skillsExcellent organisational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh level of digital literacyAbility to collaborate effectively across teamsAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentDesirableInterest in endocrinology, metabolism, or related fieldsExperience in academic publishing (journals or books), ideally in a bioscience fieldExperience building and engaging research communitiesWillingness to travel and represent the company externallyTo apply, please submit a CV and a cover letter outlining your key ambitions in the role, including your salary expectations and notice period.At Springer Nature, our mission is to be part of progress – and that begins with inclusion: of people, perspectives, and ideas.
