As a Solution Architect in Amazon Web Services, you will contribute to shaping and delivering strategies that build mindshare and broad use of Amazon’s services within strategic accounts across Italy. Your responsibilities include owning technical engagements and ensuring successful implementation projects, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and guiding customers through architectures on the AWS platform. The ideal candidate presents strong customer‑facing skills, can represent Amazon within customer environments, and maintains a technical background that supports developers and architects. He/she demonstrates structured thinking about business, product, and technical challenges. Key Job Responsibilities Partner with the sales team to design solutions, drive AWS adoption, and generate revenue. Serve as an AWS evangelist by educating customers about the value proposition of AWS. Establish credibility and build deep relationships with senior technical personnel within customers. Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure customer success when building new or migrating applications to AWS. Conduct hands‑on education and training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers. Author or contribute to AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers and tutorials. Present at AWS and industry conferences. Act as the technical liaison among customers, service engineering, and support teams. Provide sales support as a key member of the team to secure customer success on the AWS platform. Scope each engagement with clear objectives and success criteria. Own each engagement to ensure timely and successful delivery of value. Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS SA community. Basic Qualifications Extensive design, implementation, consulting, and Dev Ops experience with distributed applications. Extensive experience in infrastructure or software architecture, with knowledge of databases and networking. Experience in pre‑sales engineering or solutions architecture for technology/software sales. Ability to travel, including internationally. Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of other European languages is advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. Preferred Qualifications Technical degree in Computer Science or Mathematics. Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies. Experience with AI/ML technologies. AWS Certifications, e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate. Experience with “on‑premise to cloud” migrations or IT transformations. Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
