Overview
In this role you will identify and develop new business opportunities in renewables, with a focus on ocean energy markets, while shaping Prysmian’s offerings for emerging applications. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to adapt solutions, engage external stakeholders, and support bids to grow both renewable and defense‑related activity. The position combines market intelligence, strategic positioning, and relationship‑building to drive growth in fast‑evolving sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in renewable energy, especially ocean energy markets
- Contribute to market intelligence on trends, competitors, and new technologies
- Engage external stakeholders to position Prysmian in innovative projects
- Prepare commercial proposals, pre‑qualifications, and tenders for opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and product management to tailor offerings
- Support business development in defense and military applications
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities in renewable and defense markets
- Support client meetings, workshops, and industry events to generate leads
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or equivalent)
- Up to 3‑4 years in a business development role
- Fluent in English; another language is a plus
- Basic understanding of energy infrastructure, offshore or industrial projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Decision‑making, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong teamwork, results orientation, and ambitious mindset
