Business Unit Head – Immunology

As Business Unit Head, Immunology, you will lead Amgen Italy’s Immunology Business Unit, reporting to the General Manager and serving as a member of the Italy Affiliate Management Team. This strategic leadership role includes full accountability for Business Unit performance, including business results, budget ownership, forecasting, resource allocation, and KPI delivery. You will shape the Immunology Business Unit by leading imminent launches, strengthening the current portfolio, preparing for the next wave of pipeline opportunities, and building scale and culture for sustained growth. Key Accountabilities and Expected Outcomes

Set and deliver the local Immunology strategy, aligned with country, regional and global priorities, ensuring delivery of business commitments across revenue, profitability, market share, launch milestones and KPIs. Own Business Unit performance, including budget, forecasting, resource allocation and contribution to country planning, long‑range planning, pricing, access and field force effectiveness. Lead portfolio acceleration, imminent launches and pipeline readiness, strengthening launch excellence, market insight, stakeholder engagement and integrated planning. Build a scalable, engaged and high‑performing cross‑functional Business Unit, while representing Amgen externally through trusted, compliant engagement that strengthens Amgen’s mission, reputation and impact in the Italian healthcare environment. Minimum Requirements

University degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry, with solid exposure to commercial leadership roles. 2-3 years of experience as Business Unit Manager, Franchise Head, Commercial Lead or equivalent senior commercial leadership role. Proven track record of delivering business results in a competitive specialty care environment, including ownership of business plans, budgets, forecasts and performance delivery. Successful experience in brand planning, field force effectiveness, launches and execution of commercial strategies. Demonstrated people leadership experience, including hiring, developing, engaging and managing teams through change. Strong understanding of the Italian healthcare environment, including key customer groups, market access dynamics and relevant compliance requirements. Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken; based in Italy or willing to relocate to Italy. Preferred Requirements

Immunology or specialty care experience, including launches, lifecycle management, market expansion, or pipeline preparation. Experience in a multinational matrix, influencing across Medical, Value & Access, Finance, Regulatory and Compliance. International exposure, mobility and clear ambition to grow into broader leadership roles within Amgen. Salary

Salary Range: 108,066.45 EUR - 146,207.55 EUR Equal Opportunity
